Edible Cookie Dough

I've always lived on the wild side, enjoying raw cookie dough while baking and I've had no qualms about letting my kids do the same. However, my kids totally take advantage of my kindness and won't stop eating it until we have like five measly cookies to actually bake. Solution! Edible cookie dough! It's completely safe for casual munching. Like every time you open the fridge kind of casual munching.

I'm looking forward to testing out variations very soon and am planning on giving this out for Christmas gifts next year, your welcome in advance! Enjoy!

Edible Cookie Dough

1 cup brown sugar
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 1/2  tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. salt
2 c. all purpose flour
2 tbs. milk, a little more may be needed
1 c. chocolate chips

Using a mixer, beat the sugars and butter until fluffy for about one minute. Beat in the vanilla and salt. Add in flour and beat just until combined. Add milk one tablespoon at a time until the dough comes together and reaches a nice consistency. Stir in chocolate chips. Store in the refrigerator.
